ABST Law has represented farmers in areas of Farm Service Agency issues such as qualified entities, person determination, payment limitation, CRP contracts and government program payments in general. ABST has also represented farmers in disputes with the Farm Service Agency concerning CRP, disaster payments and program entities.
ABST Law has also represented farmers in disputes with insurance companies in various areas such as federal crop insurance, protected seed, crop damage cases such as spray drift and seed germination, and other various issues that affect agriculture. ABST Law’s attorneys have extensive experience in representing farmers in claims in the federal crop insurance arbitration process.
ABST Law also has represented farmers in farm estate planning and business succession, labor and employment law issues, real estate transactions, water rights issues and grain contract disputes. Further, ABST Law attorneys have represented producers in grain elevator insolvencies, agricultural liens and priorities, collections and foreclosures, and in formation of farming entities.
In addition, ABST Law has represented seed companies, the North Dakota State University Research Foundation and other entities with interest in the area of plant variety protection and licensing of seeds.
