About
Chelsey is an associate attorney with ABST Law whose practice focuses on trust and estate litigation, estate planning, landlord-tenant matters, and general civil litigation.
Chelsey earned her Bachelor of Science degree in New Media and Web Design, with a minor in Psychology, from North Dakota State University. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law. During law school, Chelsey served as a legal extern for the North Dakota National Guard and the North Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs during the 2019 legislative session.
Prior to joining ABST Law, Chelsey practiced as a general practice attorney in Wahpeton, North Dakota, where she represented individuals, businesses, and local government entities in a variety of legal matters. She also served as Assistant City Prosecutor for the City of Wahpeton.
Chelsey’s military service includes a year of active duty with the North Dakota Army National Guard as a Judge Advocate. In that role, she provided estate planning and legal assistance services to service members, while also advising commanders on personnel, administrative, and operational legal issues. She continues to serve as an officer in the North Dakota Army National Guard.
Chelsey is licensed to practice law in the state courts of North Dakota and Minnesota.
